Time Out

Addie had her first time out today.

She’s a little monkey and thinks the kitchen chairs are her personal jungle gym.  After I told her to get down about 900 times, my voice growing increasing louder, she continued to think it was a game.  But not only did she keep climbing the louder I yelled the more she would laugh when I pulled her down.  Until eventually it was fall down on the floor funny when she got pulled off.  She got one more chance, as soon as her little foot hit the chair rung I buckled her into her booster seat and made her sit in the corner for a minute.  Obviously she wasn’t happy about it but afterwards she came and played on the floor with me instead of on her gym.

And so it begins…

Slacker

Sorry I haven’t added pictures recently.  I’ve been keeping pretty busy the past weekish but I have been taking pictures and will get them uploaded this weekend for ya’ll.

I’m gonna make this kind of a random post with a few little tid-bits from the past few days…

Airport - When we were leaving the airport on Sunday we came to a long wide open hallway that has a moving sidewalk in the middle.  I decided to let Addie walk down the hallway so of course she went straight for the moving walkway.  I picked her up and set her on it to see what she’d do and she kept falling on her butt.  It was pretty funny.

Dr. Appointment – Addie had her 15 month appointment on Monday.  She is 29 1/2″ tall and weighed 19lbs 11oz.  She’s grown a couple inches but only gained 3oz since her last appointment.  We’re hoping to get her to gain a bit more by her 18 month appointment.  Those stats put her at 25% for height and 10% for weight.  She’s bounced around there before so we’re not really worried about her.  Other than that she was right on track for all of her milestones.

Work – Today we went to work to visit and attend a surprise shower for a guy that was on my team (well, he still is on the team, its me that’s gone).  His wife is having a little boy next month – they’re super excited and so sweet.  I’m really happy for them!  It was a good chance to visit with people that I miss dearly.  I always intend to stay an hour or two and it always turns into 4 to 5.   :)

I’m done for now and I promise to upload pictures this weekend if I don’t get to it sooner!

Chef Addie

Tonight Addie helped me make pizza.  She was running around with my bag of cheese while I put the toppings on the pizza and I knew she was just going to scream if I took it away from her.  So I set up the foot stool in front of the counter, showed her how to sprinkle the cheese on and gave her a handful.  She did a pretty good job!  At first she was just putting her handfuls in a little pile on the edge she could reach easiest but then she started flinging it all over the place…some of it even landed on the pizza!

Happy Father’s Day!

Happy Father’s Day too all of the dads that might read this post.  Especially those that are a part of our lives…either by life or by love.

It’s all downhill from here…

I think our Xbox 360 is finally on its way out. The increased usage it is seeing from being our Media Center Extender seems to be taking its toll. In the last week its thrown the dreaded three red lights (aka Red Ring of Dead / RRoD) two times. Each time so far a quick on / off of the Xbox has resolved the issue. I figure we have a couple more weeks of use left before it completely dies. Thankfully Microsoft has a three year warranty for any Xboxes that run into this RRoD issue.

I bet its made in China.
