I have never been so happy that Addie doesn’t say much as I was the other day.
She and I had gone to CVS to “buy” a few things. As we were wandering down the clearance aisle to see what they had and we walked by a lady with really poofy hair. As soon as Addie spotted her she started shrieking and signing “kitty”! Fortunately the majority of the population doesn’t know sign language and those that do probably wouldn’t recognize most of Addie’s signs yet.
There won’t be any new pictures for a few days (maybe a week?). My computer is in the process of a slow death so we’re waiting for new parts to come in. Since I’m currently using an 11 year old video card everything is all stretched funky which makes it hard to edit pictures.
Once everything is back up and running though I’ll post more.
This weekend is triple coupons at Harris Teeter so I figured I’d take advantage of the things that give you an overage as well as some just plain old good deals. Here is what I got…
2 toilet bowl cleaners
2 cookie mixes
2 corn bread mixes
3 blue bunny personal ice creams
1 toothpaste
2 boxes of rice
3lbs London Broil
for a grand total of $10.16! I saved over $28, how cool is that??? And they were out of a couple things I wanted so I need to go back today.
Addie had been doing awesome sleeping later in the morning (until 7:45ish) and taking a good solid 2 hour nap in the afternoon. One day it was even three hours which is unheard of at our house. Notice I said “had been.” Towards the middle of last week she started waking up 5-10 minutes earlier each day and taking a shorter and shorter nap. Then this weekend it was hot and humid so we stayed inside most of the weekend which didn’t tire her out so we were down to about an hour nap.
Today I decided I was going to take her to the park and wear her out so she’d sleep good. We hopped on the bike at about 9:30 and rode to a park that is about 4 1/2 miles away. When we got there we climed, swang (is that a word?), slid, and ran for an hour and a half. I figured we’d leave around 11:30 getting us home right about lunch time. As we were riding home I stopped to get a drink of water and looked back to find a SLEEPING Addie! NO NO NO NO NO!!! I woke her up and kept chattering at her and distrupting her sleep the rest of the way home (stupid me took the back route to be on a less busy street but its a good 2 miles longer). When we got home she stayed asleep while I got my bike in the house but there was no way to ge her helmet off without waking her. I tried to get her right back to sleep with no luck. After lunch I let her stay up 45 minutes after she’d normally take a nap then tried. No luck.
So now I’ve ridden my bike 11 miles, spent an hour and a half running around in the heat, and have a baby that has slept for 20 broken minutes and thinks that qualifies as a good nap. *sigh* I think this is going to be a long afternoon/evening.
I know its not the end of the week but I just had to share my good deals…
Sunday I got 3 bottles of SunSilk (I think that’s the brand) Conditioner for -0.14 cents. Yes that’s right, Harris Teeter paid me to take it off their shelves for them!
Monday I got 3 jars (15oz each) of Skippy Peanut butter for 10 cents each!
Tuesday I got 6 boxes of Poptarts (12 count), 4 packages of Keebler cookies, and 2 boxes of Rice Krispie Treats for 4.14 at Target. Then I got 4 blocks of cheese (8oz each) and a loaf of bread at Lowes Foods for 2.25!
And that doesn’t even touch CVS deals this week! I told Adam the other day that I now refuse to pay more than 25 cents for a bottle of shampoo or conditioner.
