Ultrasound

Here are the pictures from our ultrasound on Tuesday.  Baby looks good!  I have a low lying placenta but that should correct itself by the time baby is born and if not it isn’t really a problem.

Thumb sucker

Another sucking his/her thumb

Baby face

Playing peek-a-boo.  Same orientation as the previous picture but his/her hand is on front of the face.

This is the one that are making us think it is another girl.  But we have no experience reading ultrasounds and different angels make things look different.

Profile, hands by the face again

This Moment

I would never wish that my kids were sick.  But, since it is bound to happen, I will cherish the quiet moments, the stillness, and the snuggles from a little girl who is growing up way too fast.

As Addie would say “oofdah!”

Yes, she says it quite regularly.  You’d think she had relatives from Minnesota or something.  :)

My appointment yesterday was at 4:20 because getting a morning appointment at the last minute (rescheduled from Monday) is difficult.  I hate afternoon appointments.  Everyone is running behind, everyone is in a hurry, and I have to drive home in rush hour traffic.  But baby sounds good!  I have to do my 1 hour glucose test next week which is early.  It is normally done at 24 weeks but because of a family history of diabetes she wants it done earlier.  I’m a bit surprised since I didn’t have to do it early with either of the girls nor did I have a problem with either of the girls but whatever, it’ll be done.

Then on the way home, about 25 minutes from home, Addie puked in the car.  She says it is because she drank too much water.  Who knows.  Once we got her home and cleaned up she was bouncing around without a problem.  Coming home at 5:30 and washing kids, clothes, a car seat, and Mey-mey were not exactly what was on my agenda but such is life I guess.  Glad I had dinner in the crockpot!

So since Addie’s car seat was wet we were kind of stuck inside today.  Everything was fine until bedtime when Addie decided to start being super noisy making random noises while I was trying to sing bedtime songs.  Then she was goofing around and eventually stood up and said “I need a clean up on my face and finger!!”  Ugh.  She puked AGAIN!.  This time, according to her, she was playing with her finger in her mouth.  Seriously kid?  BEDTIME!!!  And I had just washed all her sheets and blankets today too.  Hopefully she learned  that the whole finger in your mouth is a bad choice and doesn’t see it as a way to prolong bedtime.

But more or less all is well in our little world.  :)

I’ll have wine with that please.

Last night Adam got home late so the girls and I ended up starting dinner before he got home.  As a special treat I made them both chocolate milk which Addie drinks like she is going to die of thirst at any moment.  I told her that once she was done with that glass I wasn’t making her more, she could have plain milk but no more chocolate.  She stops for a minute and says “That’s okay.  I like plain milk, and chocolate, and water, and juice, and wine, and hot chocolate.  So its okay if I run out of chocolate milk.”
